Oduor declares war against Ulinzi
Captain Chrispin Oduor has urged his teammates to prove their might against Ulinzi Stars after settling for a barren draw in the first leg encounter at Afraha Stadium in February.
Cliff Nyakeya’s first half goal was wrongfully disallowed after Daniel Mwaura’s cross was adjudged to have crossed the line before Nyakeya connected with a thumping header that arrowed into the roof.
However Oduor believes Sunday’s encounter at Kasarani presents an opportunity to prove that they are the better side as they look to end the season on a high.
“We played very well in the first leg but unfortunately poor officiating denied us a win. Tomorrow we have another chance to show that we deserved to win and everybody is prepared to give a good fight.
“It’s been long since we played our last match at home so this is an opportunity to give the fans something to smile about and that is a win. We have been playing very well at Kasarani and also winning crucial matches, we are optimistic that we can continue with that,” said Oduor.
This will be the second match the boys will be wearing the OdiBets branded kits after launching them in the 2-2 draw against Gor Mahia last time out.
“We are grateful to our sponsors because they’ve come at the right time. We want to win tomorrow just to show them a glimpse of what to expect next season,” he added.
The pair of Alphonce Ndonye and Francis Omondi are doubtful for this clash as they are carrying knocks. Ahmed Ahmad has been ruled out due to a knee injury.
